About the role

Academic Work is looking for a Senior IT Analyst with expertise in payments, system analysis, and business requirements to join the Core Banking Program at a leading international bank. The program aims to replace local legacy systems with a unified Nordic core banking platform. As part of the payments team, you will gather and document business requirements, translating them into features and user stories for developers. You will work independently, driving the process from requirement collection to handover. The role involves working in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders and dependencies, requiring strong analytical and communication skills.

Work tasks

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements.

We are looking for

• Extensive experience as a Senior IT or Business Analyst.
• Strong knowledge of payment processes and payment flows.
• Background in the banking sector, preferably in a large bank.
• Experience working in large-scale programs (300+ employees).
• Excellent English communication skills.

It is meritorious if you have

• Experience in a large financial company.
• Familiarity with legacy system migrations and digital transformation.

Knowledge can be gained through education, experience or self-taught.
