About the role

We are looking for a Senior BI Analyst with a strong background in data modeling, transformation, and BI solutions to join a large international bank. The role involves analyzing and mapping current data flows across multiple systems, evaluating the value of existing systems, and developing detailed specifications for a new BI solution. The ideal candidate will have expertise in DB2, Snowflake, and Alteryx or Power BI and be able to document as-is processes while defining future solutions. This project is currently running year-out, but there is a good possibility for prolongation in the new year.

Work tasks

• Analyze and map data flows between multiple systems, identifying the current state of data management
• Assess and evaluate the value of existing BI systems and data
• Collaborate closely with business teams to ensure the new BI solution meets business needs
• Develop detailed requirements and specifications for the new BI environment
• Document the as-is state and contribute to the design of future solutions
• Work with DB2, Snowflake, Alteryx, or Power BI to migrate data and develop a modern BI solution
• Understand architecture principles and align the BI solution with them
• Proactively identify and solve complex BI-related challenges
• Engage in stakeholder management and collaboration to align business needs with technical solutions

We are looking for

• Someone who has a senior-level background in BI analysis, data modeling, and transformation.
• Someone who has strong experience in DB2, Snowflake, and Alteryx or Power BI.
• Someone who has experience working with legacy system migrations and digital transformation projects.
• Someone who can deep dive into legacy systems’ data and processes.
• Someone who can document as-is processes, draft requirements for future solutions, and conduct data mapping.
• Someone who understands architecture principles and how they apply to BI solutions.
• Someone who can take ownership of the BI solution.
• Someone who has strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
• Someone who speaks and writes English at a high level.
• Someone who is based in the greater area of Copenhagen, Denmark.

It is meritorious if you have

• Experience in data analysis within the banking sector or related industries.
• Hands-on experience with modernizing BI solutions.
• A background in working with complex IT systems in large organizations.
